Destination: Hapuna Beach

Located just a mile from the condo, Hapuna Beach State Park is quite possibly the best beach on the island, and one of the best you'll find on any island - consistently voted in the top 10 beaches in the US.  The park is free, but non-residents need to pay $5 to park.  Here's a panoramic view of Hapuna Beach for your enjoyment.
Beach 69 (located at mile marker 69 on the highway) is at the south end of Hapuna State Park, and even closer to our location than the main beach.  Also called Waialea Beach, it's a favorite with locals.
Hapuna State Park is adjacent to the Mauna Kea Resort, with restaurants and golf courses available at both the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Hapuna Beach Prince.  The Kohala Coast has some of the finest golf courses in the world...here's a panoramic look at the famous 3rd hole at Mauna Kea.
